The Cal Poly Water Ski Team's purpose is to provide Cal Poly students with the opportunity to develop their water skiing abilities. Optional practice is held 2-4 times a week at Lake Nacimiento in Paso Robles. The team practices behind a 2005 MasterCraft Tournament Team 197. Our team has members with a variety of skill levels ranging from those who are learning to ski to those who are seasoned competitors.
The Cal Poly Water Ski Team competes in Fall and Spring quarters, traveling throughout California, Arizona, Washington and Oregon. Tournaments are two day long events and include slalom, trick, and jump events. We are active members of the National Collegiate Water Ski Association.
Skiers of all levels are invited to participate in tournaments and other team events. Skiers can choose what events they would like to compete in or choose to partake in all three. Team members not competing are encouraged to come out for the weekend and give their support.
